Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy
creative approaches for deep feelers
You may find yourself seeking an open-minded counselor who accepts you for who you are, who you used to be, and who you want to become. My counseling style seeks to address the needs of deep feelers, dreamers, and caregivers.
I am the artsy-witchy-auntie therapist ready to read your birth chart and unpack your attachment and trauma patterns.
Together we might explore:
Life stage transitions, adjustment or evolution
Grief and loss, processing and coping
The impacts of chronic pain, illness, or disability
The ripple effects of trauma
Intuitive art as a way to uncover truth
Unspooling relational patterns
The many layers of being a caregiver
Dreams and other mysteries…
About Me:
With a deep love for the forest I can be found backpacking in the summer, dreaming all winter, spending time with my fluffy little dog, and making art.
I am gender-affirming, LGBTQ+ allied, and neuro-affirming. I am committed to social justice and to learning a decolonial approach to therapy. I identify as a midlife, white, queer, cis-woman, and witch. I provide therapy for adults only and enjoy working with all abilities, genders, sexualities, and relationship orientations. I stay present, patient, and alert to each client’s unique therapeutic goals. Embracing humanistic, phenomenological principles, I have studied a depth psychodynamic approach to dream interpretation and the unconscious.
As a lifelong artist and former bodyworker, I offer depth of experience in somatic art techniques, energy work, breath exercises, meditation, and creative visualization. I strive to use these meditative techniques when I create my own art and love facilitating clients to find their own intuitive art-making abilities. In group therapy, co-creating safe community spaces for engaging and daring art experimentation is at my core.
I am a member of Shelterwood Collective where I completed my internship for Antioch University. Additionally, I am a member of American Counseling Association, Counselors for Social Justice, and SAIGE (Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities). I am a certified herbalist, a tarot reader, therapeutic touch practitioner, and intuitive medium. I currently work as a recreation attendant for Seattle Parks and Recreation Specialized Programs for adults with disabilities and as a peer-counselor for The Healing Center who provide free grief support groups in Washington State.
